I have a question regarding taxes. As I have been burnt in the past I have 'lost money invested. Hopefully with Senegal this will make things better for me.
It has been so long since I sold a stock, I can't remember the tax situation re Capital Gain Tax (CGT).
For example. If I bought 100 shares at $1000 and
sold 100 shares at for $5000
$5000 - $1000 initial investment = Capital Gain of $4000.
What percentage of this would be taxed? from memory if you hold for under a year it is 50% but over
a year is... 30%??
Or am I on the wrong track?
