    Oconnem, you have apparently misunderstood that post and need to re-read it! What I've suggested could hardly be more different than the inflammatory approach of Tony Abbott - the issue is facial recognition in sensitive public places and is NOT restricted to women of Muslim faith wearing burqas!

    It is possible to address security concerns and to respect cultural sensitivities without inflaming community divisions for self-serving political ends - as I've detailed in other posts on this thread.

    Meanwhile Tony Abbott's pugilistic WIN-LOSE approach targeting 'the burqa' is a sure fire way to increase security risks by exacerbating cultural misunderstanding and intolerance.
