If EBIT is 8 to 12m, knock off $1m i approx, and then allow for 30% tax - you get $5 to 8.5m approx / 51m ords = 10 to 17 cps. ($10m EBIT is 12 cps)
Re the retention payment - that is really a one off, and is possibly good news if it relates to performance of that business. Would like to know that this is a win win deal - would guess it is however.
