With the SP of Atlas Iron Ore and Mcleese both loosing ground heavily, I hope this is not due to concerns about Atlas's company future.
According to the figure I have read, Atlas has break-even costs of $82 a tonne for iron ore.
Even if Atlas only cut back production, Mcleese still has it's own debt to service, with less revenue.
I am unaware of the actual nature of the contract between Atlas and Mcleese but a further fall in the iron ore price, surely, is problematic.
