Yes, they have "scratched" the surface of a few kimberlites and found from memory about 0.2 carats per 100 tonnes.
When they similarly "scratched" the surface of say Catoca they found surface enrichment.
I could tell you why but it would be long and involved.
Look at the long progression of kimberlites LOM ( I think starting from 72 ?) and others before have tested on this lease, so far they have been so far from being economic its a joke.
Maybe they will find one , odds are that they will not though as it is far, far from a given that they will.
