Let me preface this new thread again, by saying I know next to nothing about forex.
But I noticed that there's been a strong and sustained trend of a strenghtening USD. A major trend.
Has this helped the forex traders' performances overall?
Has it helped all traders?
In regards to the good forex traders, for instance, that trade on a one day to 3 day cycle - who open and close a trade on the same day or maybe 3 days later - can they rely on regular returns, regardless of major currency trends - or are they also helped by a long term trend - that of the current USD, say?
Conversely ..
Let's say there's a period where there's no defined trends between currency pairs - will this impact negatively on performance?
As traders, have your performances improved with the current long term strength in the USD?
