Seriously, the title of the book should've been " the history of the biblical God "
as we all know, there are and have been many Gods, so to assert that " the history of God " ? Which God? I would rather say and specify. But the biblical God is authorative as it demands and obliges its followers by punishing all those that oppose and question the God itself.
The problem I have with the biblical God is the authors have made quite a lot of confusion into the immagination of portraying a God. The God portrayed in the bible is childish and very emotional and frankly I can't except any God being like that.
