Certainly true.!
As an aside, I have friends who have about 22 (at last count) investment properties they manage themselves. It's a full time and sometimes stressful job for one person. Capital Gains wise they're doing really, really well now.
By contrast, all of our income is derived from franked dividend stocks and ETFs. I do nothing but go golfing, sailing and fishing. Our net incomes are very similar. Capital Gains wise, our investments are lousy when compared to theirs. But they are afraid to realize their CG because of taxation issues.
So for our needs, stocks are the less stressful choice with almost zero workload.

Niels, I prefer to balance it out between small business, investment property and stock. Small business is to pay day-day bills, property investment is for my future piggy bank & stock is for "surprise me" bonus money. Not try to go too extreme on one side.
