They are owned by presumably shareholders.
It really is a global economy. I have investment savings
that are largely placed overseas. The good thing about making investments here in Australia, irrespective of who owns them, is that they will employ local firms, skills and workers who will in turn seek their biggest return on work done, and then invest their savings where they find the best return. That might be here or overseas depending on their preference. The more developement here, the more opportunity for Australians to save.
