Hi Kriptic, I live in Alice Springs NT and seeing gas pipeline stories in the media, local and national is unavoidable. The pipeline story has been around for many years, it periodically rears its head for political purposes. Currently the CLP government in the Territory is on the ropes and desperately trying to be seen as a mover and shaker with infrastructure projects, all sorts of projects are under discussion. In balanced accounts, Santos is saying that there is not enough gas to justify a pipeline as central Australia is being seen as less geologically fruitful than previously thought. I think that all of us CTP holders would know that. So it's odd that Cottee has come out in support of the pipeline when he knows that it isn't yet viable. But is it odd? Not really, there goes Cottee again. Following is a link to the Alice Springs News, if you search that you will find stories on the pipleline some with titles like "when gas turns to hot air".
