The POO is everything IMO but it will depend on how low it goes and how long it stays there. The finance talks will certainly be an influence on the current shareprice but they will also likely be influenced by the POO.
Where the POO would have the most influence on AKK is the Pathfinder project, in particular the Niobrara as its really unknown as to what the economics of these wells are, the price of gas will also play a part there. With the EFS it's a little more certain and could probably sustain a longer period of lower prices.
A low oil price for a sustained period puts the payout period for wells out further into the future by a yet unknown amount resulting in higher carrying costs on debt however it would also put downward pressure on drilling and completion costs as some projects would be put on the back burner.
It's certainly an unwanted distraction so lets hope the POO stabilises and heads on an upward trajectory in the not to distant future or it could become a real problem. AKK is reasonably well placed with no current debt and a modest income with wells coming on stream, also HC would likely concentrate their drilling on sweet spot areas in tougher times which would include our EFS land.
