Scotgold overhauls management team by GARETH MACKIE Published on the 13 October 2014 08:15 Print this Scotgold Resources, which is aiming to create Scotland’s first commercial gold mine, today unveiled a major boardroom shake-up as it seeks to push ahead with its Cononish project. Chief executive Chris Sangster has been replaced by Richard Gray, former head of mining and expansion at Avocet Mining, but will remain as a non-executive director. Sandy Littlejohn, the managing director of Glasgow-based dental laboratory DTS, becomes chairman, replacing John Bentley who has resigned from the company. Scotgold, which is planning a rights issue to reduce its debts, also announced that Nathaniel le Roux and Richard Harris have been appointed as non-executive directors. The Aim-quoted firm said: “The first priority is the review and optimisation of the development plan for Cononish, such that a financeable plan under the current market conditions can be implemented in the coming year.”
