I would suggest that people don't get ahead of themselves with the Federal Government panels. The Commonwealth Government is extraordinarily slow at anything outsourced cloud related. Having said all this, this week there was a quiet release of a cloud policy 'Cloud adoption streamlined for Government' from Minister's Cormann, Turnbull & Brandis: http://www.financeminister.gov.au/media/2014/1008-cloud-adoption-steamlined.html - the easier it becomes for Government agencies to use cloud and data centre suppliers, the greater the uptake, even if the uptake occurs at a glacial pace.
