Once again, in todays news we see a new case of Ebola in the US.

It's becoming clearer all the time that this virus is very hard to control and that its spread seems almost inevitable. It must be fought at source if it is to be beaten.

As I've posted before, the Abbott government is to be condemned for refusing to send trained staff to help deal with this disease on site on the African continent. Abbott sees fit to risk Australian lives and treasure on a war that cannot be won and is of no relevance to Australia yet he will not assist materially with the Ebola epidemic which is a much greater danger to us all than terrorism.

It's typical of the Abbott tribe to stick their heads in the sand and ignore and even deride scientific opinion. We've seen it with global warming and now we're seeing it with Ebola.

It's time we got our priorities right.
