Well its share buy back but they are buying them off the shareholders rather than the market.
For example it buys back x amount of share of each shareholder for X amount that returns 10million .
This avoids tax as it is a capital return . ( for NZ shareholders anyway)
Agree I wouldn't like to see a Sharebuy back from market
