I think its very appropriate.
We all are hoping that the results are bigger/better than original estimates; and very well could be. But 'Hope' is not a sensible corporate management/planning philosophy and we have all seen junior oilies struggle and stumble between $ watering holes based on 'hope'.
I like the thought that CN will be able to sit down at a JV meeting and say "Yes, we can afford our share of a 2-3 well appraisal program" rather than being pushed into a 'must take our deal or leave it' situation.
This'll make FAR stronger to be able to look at the next value-plus proposals.
