There has been a lot of controversy in holland of late. The Dutch have a historical character which is similar to an Easter Bunner or Santa clause. From what I know the character is much revered, especially to kids coz it's about giving presents. Well, he just happened to be black . The UN even had their say on it about having racial undertones and that it can be linked to slavery (in this case it was a US rep pushing her US history onto the Dutch). The Dutch are fuming as the gov recently ruled that this few hundred year tradition is to be abolished.
in a way, I am happy I won't be around to see what BS society will come up with on 100 years. Social media has given people a platform. Too dangerous as I find the world is full of dickh..ds.
And us Aussies pride ourselves on the "tall poppy" syndrome which is code for "I'm just a jealous nasty person who thrives on seeing your downfall and life in ruins".
