I hear what you're saying, I wasn't at the Sydney preso to hear M say it...and I am sure it still rankles deeply with him to this day.

However, I have to disagree with you ever so slightly this time...about him letting that override his and our best business interests.

The statement,

"LNG Limited’s Mission is to create wealth for our shareholders by delivering competitive and innovative LNG projects in key markets throughout the world."

from LNG's website, and included atop page 4 of the recent Investor Presentation kinda overrules even Maurice's 'principle' I would have thought; provided FL can establish and pay within satisfactory parameters.

I respect the point of those consistently expressing misgivings with FL, I just still see value in getting it up, not only in the bottom line, (or else no point clearly), but to show / prove it can stand against the neighbouring projects across Jacobs Channel, in spite of the difficult environment Australia provides!
