Family violence can and must be stopped, page-5

I personally have no time for Bill Shorten, but this time he has it right. Family violence is a scourge on our society and has no place in a so called forward thinking country like Australia. Violence belongs in the dark ages. The only thing Bill forgot to mention is the number of men and children that it affects as well, with quite often devastating and lasting effects, violence committed on children that is quite often passed off as discipline. Any country that has the level of family violence that we have should be ashamed of itself.
