Given how far gone many of these patients must be, I anticipate this will not be the last patient who passes away mid-trial.

We must be prepared to envisage a number of scenarios, eg a patient might die from renal failure mid-trial, yet still demonstrate reductions in liver tumor size on account of the drugs, etc. It is not always the tumor that comes out strangling the poor sufferer, rather the occurrence of referred medical conditions that may arise as a result of the condition.

The market must understand both that the failure of a patient to survive is not necessarily a failure of the drug itself, and that successful outcomes can still be recorded in circumstances where a patient dies.

That being said, hopefully success on the canine front will make it easier to recruit a greater number of healthier individuals as we progress..

As for the disclosure of this news, I can imagine the delay in publishing the death was as much legal as it was scientific..

We are all mug punters here, but I doubt anyone here does not feel for those affected. Better putting cash in here than coal stocks imo
