My understanding was that the new alumina refinery was dead in the water and BAU were just looking at exporting bauxite. However this is an interesting news report concerning BAU and audio interview with Peter Canterbury.
I reckon that ABC have got it wrong and "the new facility" referred to by Peter Canterbury is a mine and not a refinery, unless of course I have missed something along the way.
What are others understanding of reports from BAU, is the refinery killed off or not??
