Hi DaLatta, thanks for your excellent post. I agree with what you are saying. My (oversimplified?) picture was really intended to show that mining the TON Mutola zone, alone, is not practical. In any real pit, a lot of other, poorer-grade material has to be dug, reducing the overall average.
All the same, we should not ignore the fact that mining costs will still be very low, and so will purification costs, at least to concentrate level by flotation. I suspect that, although TON costs will be significantly higher than SYR, they may still be below most other producers in the world.
Perhaps the people who should be looking over their shoulders are the smaller prospectors in Canada, Australia, and elsewhere.
