as usual IMU give no details about financing such a thing - but assuming it is to be a fair dinkum effort - there are only three ways to do it.
1. use current funds to set up the lab - financial suicide?
2. organise a placement - runs the risk of ridicule from brokers.
3. and this is out of left field - use funds coming from Merial which they have said nothing about..... highly unlikely, but stranger things have happened.
4. tap Freddie for a loan.......
