Apparently CBA equities has 2 allocations which is Commsec 1 and Commsec retail. The word is Commsec 1 guys may end up getting most of their bid!!! I missed the damn thing yesterday as I didn't have a clue that it was going to close early, so I placed my bids with 2 JLM's. The reason they closed early was, they reached their allocation by 12.30PM yesterday and took some more bids till 2 PM or so. Apparently each broker is given their allocations as far as broker firm offer goes and its unto that broker whether to accept heaps of bids and scale back or stop once you reach the bids bla bla bla. It would be interesting to find out once the allocations are revealed. I was told that the allocations can be revealed on 31st Oct. Cheers
