Plibersek is talking about 'volunteer' medical staff....NOT Government officers, being prevented from going to do what they 'have trained a lifetime for'. Therefore; are these medicos free to go? They go with the understanding that if they contract the disease that Australia does not have the means to bring them all the way back to Australia for treatment. In my view, it is all well and good for Obama to say Australia should do more.....so how about he put his deeds where his mouth is and volunteer to take Australian medical personnel to The US for treatment.....fat chance of that happening!!
