    As you have no interest in this stock, any reply from me is likely to fall on deaf ears. However, as you appear to think that fixed assets with future benefits accruing to a business should not be capitalised, then clearly mining equities are not your best choice.

    As you have brought up balance sheet issues, here are a few ASX-listed miners with the first column being their fixed assets (ie what they have invested in), and with the second column showing their stated equity (ie fixed assets less non-current liabilities), and the final column showing their retained earnings or deficit. All of these were correct as of 30th June 2014. All figures are in A$ except for EVR & MML in US$ and OGC in C$.
