News: Namibian Copper shares trade big volume, copper-silver drilling in progress

  1. Namibian Copper (ASX:NCO) shares saw unusually high trading volumes yesterday with over 5 million trading hands.

This coincided with a price increase to $0.009 from a previous close of $0.007.

On October 8th, NCO commenced drilling at its Ongombo copper-silver project in Central Namibia to test for a near-surface mining development opportunity on the Central Shoot.

This is the first drilling program by NCO on the Central Shoot.

The drilling program consists of 23 holes for 3,100 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling. The Central Shoot is open both down-dip and down-plunge and the resource is limited only by the current drilling extents.

The Ongombo project covers 14,524 hectares, lies 45 kilometres from the capital city of Windhoek, and 20 kilometres from the Otjihase underground copper mine operated by Weatherly International.

Even after yesterday's price increase, the company is capitalised at just $1.7 million, so potential upside upon discovery is substantial.
