As much as i hate to say this (as I am a holder of AGO and down massively), as a government you cannot dictate what the big boys do. We live in a free country and the big boys are well within their right to expand and produce at record levels. Having said that, the government should then have a tool to profit accordingly from the record production of the big boys
e.g. Tax different rate at different production rate. The more you produce the higher the tax is and the less you product the less the tax is...
- 5% tax if producing 0-20Mt
- 7.5% tax if producing 20-50Mt
- 10% tax if producing 50-100Mt
- 15% tax if producing 100-200Mt
- 20% tax if producing 200Mt+
Wouldnt it be nice if the more the big players produce the more they get tax.
