Hypocritical or not you can sort of see why the US is behaving so aggresively. Like any other previous empire it is expanding its areas of control over the world. But they are never going to state that up front. They have to take the moral high ground and so we hear all the crap.
Some other countries such as Israel and Kuwait may benefit from the war but I really believe the position John Howard has taken is against Australia's national interest. Very stupid to make ourselves a terrorist target and put our Asian neighbours offside for American national interest?
