I tried to find out who he/she was via Google. There is a Professor in Mech Eng working at Sydney University by the same name.
The only other close was a Dr Wei Dai who is a scientist now a lecturer at Melbourne uni who had worked for CSIRO, Telstra etc previously on consumer platform technologies etc..This sounded like he might know enough about the technology to be interested but only a surname match (could presume they are related but that's a guess)

Then again maybe he/she is just a punter?
