as I see it, there's no need trying to justify Israel's use of force, as Israel would not exist without it. 'War' is the word used to apologise the targeting of innocents by the other side but strangely, seems to be absent when assessing Israel's (or 'the west') modus operandi. As far as I'm concerned, any targeting of civilians is murder, it doesn't matter which side perpetrates the crime.
