When you look at Sierra Wireless' products and the detail of the quarterly report the difference between NTC and SWIR is significant so SWIR's performance has little bearing on NTC.
"Revenue for the third quarter of 2014 was $143.3 million, an increase of 27.6% compared to $112.3 million in the third quarter of 2013, and an increase of 6.1% compared to $135.0 million in the second quarter of 2014. Revenue from OEM Solutions was $124.3 million in the third quarter of 2014, up 29.7% compared to $95.9 million in the third quarter of 2013. Revenue from Enterprise Solutions was $19.0 million in the third quarter of 2014, up 15.4% compared to $16.4 million in the third quarter of 2013"
OEM made up 87% of SWIR's revenue and had 27.6% growth. NTC doesn't participate in the OEM space. Whilst SWIR is a competitor of NTC, SWIR is generating its revenue and growth in embedded modules, something that NTC doesn't do and I doubt will ever do.
