the portfolio of long positions just keeps growing in monetary value (my contributions mainly, plus some small profits)
up to Friday morning I was a little worried with 4 days of sideways to downward movement of our market, but by Friday evening, with a good rise in the local market, all was well.....
on Thursday FET, (my long held, but regularly traded childcare REIT) an asx announcement caused its price to dive sharply for no good reason IMO, so Friday morning I bought up 7x at the lower end of the dip to give me a total holding of 13x........ by the end of the day its price had retraced even higher than the previous day's high to give an very excellent profit ....... so the wife and I went out for dinner that night to the local RSL....... she could not understand why I was in such an unusually generous state of mind.....
earlier in the week I sold TGA (2x) @ 13.5% profit ......
that's the good stuff, but in fact the portfolio gained on average approx. 1.5% - 2%, which is not too bad because our market overall gained just 0.065% for the week

AHD, CCP, FET, IAG, IFM, MTU, NSR, REC, SDI, SOM, SEK, SUN, TPM, TLS...japan 250
BOQ GMA COH,MNF were closed out with small losses - for bad behavour
overnight, my short bid on gold was taken up and stopped out due to a very large upward reversal in its price....
so i'm not so full of confidence this weekend - more watchfull and hopefull and ready to pull the trigger if needs be - its been a very good run these last two weeks
