    Unlikely to be Leptospirosis. Incubation period is longer and lasts from days to weeks. Common antibiotics such as doxycycline or penicillin will cure it. Also easy to test for using a blood or urine sample.

    One of my geo friends caught it while looking for diamonds in Kalimantan (southern Borneo). Ended up being evaced to Singapore.
