re: why corrupt if rio win? Corruption will have bugger-all to do with it if RIO win.
Any decision will be challenged in court & the last thing the gov't will want/need is that dirty word thrown about by sore losers.
You can bet your shinybum Bungy234 that CAZ is lobbying just as hard as RIO with any & all influence they can muster. They've already organised BHP to sit down next to them at the table after all...
The decision must be based in LAW as the scrutiny it will be put under will have to stand up or fall down in progressively higher courts.
Quit the corruption angle. It is juvenile & lame.
