Yep pretty much...
Its part of the ego and some just can't accept the end.
Then their is some who are attracted to other parts of religion such as the sickos who take comfort in the fact you can do the worst shit imaginable (murder, rape, incest, ) and as long as you ask god for forgiveness then its all OK.
