Canine cancer treatments

I think its time we get some constructive conversation going again.

Does any know know much about the current treatments/products given to canines/cats to treat cancer?
From a quick bit of research it seems that the current treatments aren't exactly overly effective. It obviously looks to be a market with huge capitalisation with the care people are willing to give to their pets.

Currently PPL-1 is being tested as a stand-alone treatment for canine cancer but it will also be tested to see how much more efficient it makes current practices. I wouldn't be surprised if big pharmas were currently watching the trial results very closely looking to partner.
