Not sure if relevant but I was NOT a believer of Xmas rally until I did this Xmas last year. About the one CERTAIN (only?) thing about charts is that they cannot lie about the past. Fairly compelling (but of course does NOT mean it will happen this year!!)
FWIW I have a (small) options strangle on dax (I think thats what you call it; long an out of money call and put) just covering a big move either way.
