re: oil shale They would have been the Rundle Twins and I was thinking of looking for the remains and who owns them when I hear how well the co's involved with the Alberta tar sands are doing.
BP has a trial going there with mind-blowing technology but I doubt they will do real well until they put a nuclear reactor on top of the sands and use steam straight off the boilers for heat.
