Its important to remember that Beattie's position is nonsensical -- if he objected because U is dirty then we have a problem as we do with most of the Greens but he doesn't -- he objects because he wants to protect the coal industry - he has no control over the nuclear or coal industries no matter what he does - his position is a straw man -- he is playing some game -- waiting for something -- negotiating with someone -- we don't know -- but the pressure for approval is building -- if for no other reason than that his present position is rubbish
