Survey Processing Technician

nearmap is seeking a part time Survey Processing Technician to process the daily geospatial data collection of the company. The Survey Processing Technician downloads, processes and performs quality assurance of nearmap aerial imagery surveys, manages survey media, and assists managing survey equipment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Downloads surveys from received media and uploads to cloud storage for processing.
Monitors survey processing and deals with exceptions.
Quality assures processed survey output and approves for publication, according to the quality standards set out in the nearmap operations manual.
Corrects mendable errors and manages selective survey reprocessing as necessary.
Liaises with Engineering as needed to deal with processing anomalies.
Test and formats survey media.
Receives, packs, and ships survey media.
Assists with storage and tracking of survey equipment and spares, including camera systems and supporting electronics.
Assists with preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS/BE degree preferred–in business operations, computer science or geography.
Demonstrated ability to meet high volume and quality service commitments and the ability to coordinate subcontractor relationships.
Experience with mapping, aerial survey, remote sensing, and GIS is preferred.
Strong analytical, oral/written communication, problem solving, basic research, and time management skills.
Part-time hours typically day hours (4-5 days; 4 hours per shift) per week with a starting time at 9:30am.
Proficiency with computers; Linux, Unix experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Proficiency in English required.
Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
