IMO Santos can see the benefit of acquiring SXY by buying producing gas assets like Hornet and (eventually) the Surat Basin CSG assets, as well as adding Senex's oil portfolio and production to Santos numbers.
Santos want to avoid a tarnished reputation by pushing too hard or too soon to develop their NSW CSG assets (give it 5 years and then try again once the public backlash subsides). Simply pay $1.10 PS for Senex and get all the gas you need for GLNG plus your domestic customers without the public backlash. It maybe still be 6 months off (Santos need free flowing cashflow from GLNG first) but this TO is in the wind. ALL in my opinion but theories aside, having Hornet flow I can feel the interest start to grow..........

2mcf per day seems a little underwhelming or am I missing something? I imagine a number of these wells can be drilled but at what cost?
