You're right there. They target a stock with a bit of volatility, stick a cracker up its fundamental orifice and have a field day on stop losses and the like. Anyhow, as long as ASIC and the ASX don't have the balls to ban short selling then this sort of rubbish will continue.
As far as I'm concerned shorting is no better than rigging a football match or horse race.
