I sometimes think people don't understand that there is other trading strategies than just taking a long position and holding for the long term. YOW is a volatile stock with reasonably broad daily price movements and relatively frequent announcements that have had large impacts on the price. Traders are going to be in and out of a stock like that.

There are no short positions reported against YOW. And if traders want to sell YOW in the hopes that they can pick the shares up later at a cheaper rate, seems like an entirely legitimate trading strategy to me. If some YOW holders panic and start dumping shares because a 20 share algo trade hits a new low, that's their problem.
