Hi Hercules, While 500,000 shares may seem a lot to you and me, It would be an insignificant transaction to an overseas fund. Personally I dont think they would bother. Looking at the top 20, I would think there are not too many shareholders in AGS with 500,000 shares or more.
So my conclusion is that it is either an incredibly stupid or lazy trader trying to sell, or some home trader who is trying to manipulate the market by scaring us with his 500,000 bid.
A good announcement could hit the market at anytime now.
If you trade in and out of this stock you may risk missing the boat.
In the long term AGS look very good.
What the share price does in the short term should not worry those of us who are focussed on the Company producing a JORC Report and a massive resource in the next 9 months. The company has been promoted at the explorers conference in WA, and will shortly be promoted at a Uranium Conference in Adelaide. If you read Alliances website now, Uranium is now the focus, instead of Maldon. Management know the value of the Uranium resource. Expect them to be promoting AGS for the forseeable future. AGS is being readied for sale. A takeover bid could happen at any time.
