Ozexplorer,
I don't know if it is the same stuff, but I tried "Gumbi- Gumbi".
Sounds similar ..... A brother worked with Aboriginal groups in the Oil & Gas industry, and they put him onto it.
It didn't work for either of us, but it was fun and a positive distraction giving it a go.
It may work for others?
Same with Maple Syrup and bicarbonate ..... didn't work either.
I have recently done 18 treatments of Taxatere (chemo), and still doing more.
It has relieved my symptoms big time, and the side effects have been relatively minimal (started late in June 2014) ...... so all good.
I know the downside, but when between a rock and a hard place, you have a go.
Anyway thats just my experience ...... the older I get the less I know.
Whatever we do we might as well give it a good shot.
Bit like investing in the miners ..... We do our best, but looking at my portfolio, you would wonder.
