Bowral,
you say,
so if you accept Jesus, there is no condemnation,
But Christ clearly said that "just" to accept Jesus wasn't enough,
Matthew 7 21 23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity
So Bowral, just saying that you accept Jesus is not enough,
you ALSO have to do the will of the Father, which is "Go and sin no more"
and Revelation 3 16 clearly states that even if you ACCEPT Jesus as your saviour, he can still spew you out of his mouth.
And Bowral,
stop saying that I taughtbuffet said "legalism,is like merit in what you do,like what you posted, you stated you will be judged by your works"
IT WAS THE APOSTLE JOHN WHO WROTE "The dead shall be judged according to their works" Revelation 20 12
and it was Paul who wrote romans 2 6
5But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, 6who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: 7to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life
AND EVEN CHRIST SAID, Matthew 16 27
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works
So Bowral, the concept of being judged according to your works, is not mine,
it's Christ's, and the apostle John's and even Pauls
