TLS's market share will not diminish in the foresseable future, it is the telco king on its own soil and it will remain a cashcow for a long time to come, no doubt about it.

It is probably the best investment in Australia, although I see no growth in Telstra's underlying profit and I certainly see no dividend growth and I do see continuing difficulties in its Asian investments.

Having said that, in the current environment, TLS has to be one of the better long term investments on the market. The best of a bad bunch ?

But yes, if I was to select five stocks for a steady dividend paying portfolio, TLS will be one of the first stocks I will select, although capital appreciation due to revenue and profit growth is a worry, moving forward.
