Anwyay, as to why BHP walked, I asked that question at the AGM, and what the team said - Mike especially portrayed it in a funny way - was that BHP was divesting exploration due to holding costs etc, so it "fell through the cracks" !! Rather large cracks hey?

Someone else, can't remember who, mentioned BHP turned down an offer for it a few years back, in the $100M ++ region ... oops!
