Thanks Sludge an d Chris.
Informative. I did not attend the meeting so it is difficult for me to assess the outcome. Must say however that I am just as much in the dark about things as I was this morning.
Sludge was very critical of management beforehand but appears to have had a road to Damascus conversion. Chris also seems more positive. The directors have had a long time to prepare for this meeting and they would have rehearsed their performances. I wonder if their earnest appeals and apparent honesty may have been contrived to soothe shareholders.
It would appear that we have no new information or explanations. We lost the legals "but had a good case" and the "Blues are impossible JV partners".
Did anyone ask them to explain their lousy communication with shareholders? Why are we being denied information on possible buyers? What is Itouchu up to? Why is the 25 - 15% business still as clear as mud? Why all the confidentiality?
It is not hard to come across as honest brokers and at the same time play fast and loose. Politicians are past masters of this art.
Forgive me for my negative comments. I am just dubious and unwilling to give these people the benefit of my doubt. I remain skeptical and unconvinced.
